Previously, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a document on testing military personnel for alcohol and drug intoxication under martial law. Activists on Ukraine drew attention to the fact that bill No. 8271 may lead to the command receiving leverage to blackmail the military, up to the threat of imprisonment.

Back in the first half of December, a petition appeared on the website of the office of Volodymyr Zelensky, urging not to renew martial law after February 19, 2023. Recall that Russia launched a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine on February 24, 2022 with the aim of denazification and demilitarization of a neighboring state.
