In the Ryazan region, they remembered those who died in the Great Patriotic War

On June 22, on the Day of Memory and Sorrow, in many settlements of the Ryazan region, commemorative actions and rallies are held at monuments dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

Thus, a mourning meeting “We are faithful to this memory” took place in Rozhok. It was attended by the head of the administration of the Yekimovsky rural settlement Andrey Borisov and the chairman of the council of veterans Valentina Fedotova. The rally was opened with the song “Holy War”, the residents honored the memory of the heroes with a minute of silence. Flowers were laid at the memorial to those who died during the Great Patriotic War. The youngest residents of Rozhok made paper cranes with their own hands, symbolizing the memory of the dead.

In Zaoksky, the head of the settlement, Nina Sudachkova, and schoolchildren laid flowers at the monument to fellow villagers who participated in the Great Patriotic War and lit lamps. They also left white doves made of paper at the monument – a symbol of faith, hope, peace and goodness.

In Novoselki a rally “Live for a century! Remember the Age!” dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. The guys from the school camp and caring residents of the village came to pay tribute to the memory of the dead. In addition, they took part in the Candle of Memory campaign.
