The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation agreed on the accrual mechanism payments on sick leave sheets for those working under civil law contracts. Such employees will be covered by compulsory social insurance. It is reported by TASS.

The relevant insurance rights will appear for this category of employees from 2023. AT Ministry Labor of the Russian Federation explained that this measure “will enable such employees to receive paid sick leave, payments in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, and to care for a child up to 1.5 years old.”

At the same time, it is specified that insurance deductions under the concluded agreement must not be less than the amounts paid with the minimum wage.

Earlier, the Public News Service reported that the authorities gave the Russians a promise to increase the maximum amount in 2023 benefits for temporary disability. In addition, maternity benefits will be increased. This was stated by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
