The authorities of the Kursk region for the period of distance learning will provide food packages to all students with disabilities, from low-income and large families.

As stated in his Telegram channel Governor of the region Roman Starovoit, about 1,500 children are now studying remotely in the region. And all preferential categories of students from this number will receive food packages for the duration of the distance.
Previously, students in grades 5-11 from preferential categories were provided with food or monetary compensation. Now, this measure of support will also apply to schoolchildren in grades 1-4 from low-income and large families, children with disabilities.
According to the head of the region, in Kursk schools, for various reasons, distance learning is forced to alternate with full-time. Now, regardless of the reasons for the transfer to a distance, families with children from preferential categories will be provided with food packages or will be paid monetary compensation for food.
Currently, about 1,500 schoolchildren from 18 schools and seven branches in six border regions are on distance learning. In total, more than 28 thousand children study in the Kursk region, who are entitled to preferential meals from an educational institution.
Formerly online edition “Teacher’s newspaper” told that all schoolchildren in the Belgorod region will receive dry rations if the remote learning mode continues until the end of the year. The support measure will be valid for students in grades 1–4 and grades 5–11.
