The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) sentenced a serviceman of the Armed Forces to 12 years in prison Ukraine (APU) Vladimir Orlawho brutally beat a civilian. The regional prosecutor’s office reported this to Lenta.ru.
He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 356 (“Cruel treatment of civilians in occupied territory”) of the Criminal Code RF. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony.
The court found that in March 2022, the 28-year-old commander of the second anti-aircraft missile squad of the anti-aircraft missile platoon of the 501st separate battalion of the 36th separate marine brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, together with other military personnel, beat a previously detained resident Mariupol to obtain recognition of assistance to the Armed Forces of the DPR and Russia. Previously, the court in the LPR sentenced to 16 years in prison for a Ukrainian military man for transmitting the coordinates of residential buildings in the village of Nikolaevka to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
