In the case of threats to a Russian from a drug cartel, the first detainee appeared

In the case of threats to a resident Pervouralsk (Sverdlovsk region), who handed over the drugs he found to the police, the first defendant appeared – a young resident of the region who had previously been prosecuted for theft. An official representative of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region reported this to Lenta.ru Valery Gorelykh.

“Currently, a search is underway for other persons involved in threats and extortion,” Gorelykh said. Previously he reportedthat because of threats to a Russian from a drug cartel, a criminal case was opened for death threats and extortion.

Operatives of the regional criminal investigation department have already joined the investigation, and active measures are being taken to search for persons who threatened a resident of Pervouralsk, recognized as a victim.

“A set of operational and investigative measures is being carried out aimed at identifying the suspects. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs already have someone to work with on these facts,” said a representative of the Sverdlovsk regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Oleg (name changed) began receiving threats from one of the drug cartels in the Urals after an incident that occurred in October. A man rented out his apartment on Vayner Street in Pervouralsk for daily rent. One of the tenants was a 24-year-old resident of Nizhnyaya Tura, who at some point stopped communicating. Then Oleg decided to check what was going on and found a bag with 582 grams of methadone in the apartment. At the end of October, Oleg’s apartment was bombarded with smoke bombs, after which he filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies. “Oleg and his family have already been taken under state protection – the investigation is in full swing,” Valery Gorelykh emphasized.
