Arbitration court Petersburg and the Leningrad Region supported the claim of RusKhimAlliance and imposed arrest on the assets of the transnational chemical company Linde located in the Russian Federation for a total of 35 billion rubles. It is reported by RBC.
According to the publication, the court decision applies to the German Linder GmbH and its parent company Linde PLC, which is registered in Ireland.
The reason for RusKhimAlliance’s appeal to the court was the failure to fulfill its obligations to build a gas processing plant.
In accordance with the terms of the contract, the main claim against Linde was filed with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.
According to the document containing interim measures, the arrest was imposed for an amount half that of the claims against the defendants.
Earlier it was reported that in Bulgaria they realized their difficult position in a possible arbitration with Gazprom amid reports that the Russian company won arbitration against the Finnish Gasum, which refused to pay in rubles.
