Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution on the extension until the end of 2023 of the simplified procedure for the import of electronic devices. This will help to avoid a shortage of products against the backdrop of sanctions. This was reported by the press service of the government on its official website.
The resolution itself simplifies the receipt of a notification document that allows you to import equipment. It is required for the import of any electronic devices that support cryptographic capabilities or encryption. These include smartphones, laptops, computers, microcircuits, tablets and walkie-talkies.
Now industry associations, such as the Association of Electronics Developers and Manufacturers and the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises, will be able to issue notifications. Previously, the manufacturer of equipment to obtain documents had to apply to an authorized organization, namely the center for licensing, certification and protection of state secrets of the FSB of Russia.
The new procedure implies that organizations responsible for imports are not required to provide customs authorities with notification information regarding imported electronics if they are used as components for the production of equipment within the country. At the same time, equipment manufacturers must be included in the list of backbone enterprises approved by the government.
Earlier it became known that in Russia launch the program preferential mortgages for the DPR and LPR, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The corresponding document was signed on January 3 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
