The incidence of influenza and SARS among Russians was lower by 29.3% compared to the previous week. The corresponding message on Tuesday, January 3, was published on the website Rospotrebnadzor.
The department’s specialists specified in their report that influenza viruses (81.3%) prevail in the structure of respiratory viruses circulating throughout the country until now. At the same time, it is specified that among them the dominant virus is influenza A (H1N1) 2009 or swine flu (60.8%), which is recorded in all regions of Russia.
“Among other respiratory viruses of non-influenza etiology, respiratory syncytial viruses, rhinoviruses, adenoviruses are still in the lead,” the department noted.
The experts also recalled that at present, the implementation of a set of preventive and anti-epidemic measures continues in the territory of the country’s constituent entities. In conclusion, Rospotrebnadzor employees emphasized that the current situation with the incidence in the country is completely controllable.
