The driver of a snowplow in the city of Vilyuchinsk in the Kamchatka Territory covered an 11-year-old with snow during work. Thanks to eyewitnesses who noticed this in time, the child was rescued from under the snow, the prosecutor’s office of the region reported.
“The driver of the snowplow, who was clearing, did not notice the boy and covered him up with a snow cover,” the message published on the Telegram channel of the supervisory authority says.
The incident took place on the evening of December 17, when children were playing in the courtyard of a house on Nakhimov Street. The teenager was diagnosed with soft tissue bruises, doctors prescribed him outpatient treatment. The prosecutor’s office of Vilyuchinsk initiated an inspection of compliance with safety regulations during snow removal.
Last week, a woman died in the Kaliningrad region, a canopy fell on her due to accumulated snow. Specialists appointed a forensic medical examination and other verification activities, which will result in a procedural decision.
