Head of the Crisis Preparedness Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs Estonia Thea Varrak announced the development of an initiative by the department with the introduction of food cards for low-income citizens. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Varrak, currently products for those in need are collected at the Food Bank, through which they are further distributed.

In turn, the ministry proposes to introduce a system of cards that will contain a certain amount of money. You can use it to purchase products of your choice.

The corresponding system is planned to be introduced in 2023. It is assumed that the money on the card will be received quarterly.

Earlier it was reported that the Estonian company engaged in the production of sausages is preparing to release a line of products from dog meat.

Earlier, an advertisement for the upcoming novelty appeared on the company’s page in social networks, but local residents considered the publication a joke. After some time, the manufacturer confirmed plans to start raising dogs for meat production.
