IN Astrakhan Three people died as a result of drug poisoning, reports TASS citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
“According to preliminary data, three died as a result of methadone poisoning,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
Previously, two of the three detained foreigners admitted in the sale of drugs in Astrakhan. It is believed that the suspects ran away from the city after the first cases of hospitalization due to methadone appeared. They were detained upon arrival in Stavropol region and delivered to Astrakhan.
About mass methadone poisoning became known on Monday, November 20th. 24 people were reported hospitalized, most of them young men and women. According to preliminary data, they all used the drug from the same batch.
