Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin called Artyomovsk a rather difficult point in special operations in Ukraine. At the moment, the Ukrainian group is pulling additional reserves into the region due to colossal losses, he said.

Pushilin stressed that Russian units are beginning to “close the pincers” in Artyomovsk. Fighting is taking place on the outskirts of the city.

“As soon as we can pincer, I do not exclude that the enemy, with his intentions to hold the city at any cost, can get into a complete encirclement,” he said in an interview with RT Arabic.
