In a Ryazan village, kidnappers hired a tow truck to steal a broken car

Near Ryazan, police detained two intruders suspected of stealing a car. This was reported by the website of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs on May 12.

A 29-year-old Ryazan man turned to the police. He said that his VAZ-2110 car was missing. According to the man, the car broke down, so it had to be left on the street for a while in the village of Khirino, Ryazan region. When the owner returned for the car, it was gone.

Since the car could not move under its own power, the police assumed that the car was towed or taken away on a tow truck. They interviewed employees of firms providing towing services. As a result, they found out that recently a VAZ-2110 was evacuated from the street of the village of Hirino.

The operatives found out where the garage box is located, where the stolen car was taken. A hidden surveillance point was organized near the garage. Soon, observers spotted two guys who arrived at the garage. It turned out that they were Ryazan residents aged 18 and 20, and the older one had already been convicted of theft.

In the garage, police officers found units from a stolen car. The perpetrators were arrested.

It turned out that a couple of days ago, a stolen car, from which all valuable units were removed, was sold as scrap metal. The stolen goods were found and seized. A criminal case was opened against the perpetrators under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. They face up to 5 years in prison.
