A man who found a vibrator under his wife’s bed, which she kept secret from him, and had complex feelings about it, was given advice by sex coach Rich Juzwiak. His column publishes published by Slate.
According to the husband who contacted Yuzwiak, he and his wife have been together for 15 years, and in the last two years they have become less likely to have sex. Six months ago, the wife mentioned that she would like to buy a vibrator, and the man expressed a desire to use the toy for joint play. After this, the woman allegedly refused the purchase. However, recently a man found a vibrator in a small bag on the floor of a closet and became jealous of it. “She moves this thing every day! In the last three months, we have had sex even less often, and she uses a vibrator every day. I don’t know how to talk about this,” he complained.
In response, Yuzwiak asked not to put pressure on the woman and pointed out that she was not trying to reliably hide the sex toy. “I think it would be reasonable to say that you noticed that she bought the item you were discussing. Let the conversation unfold from there: if she wants to talk, great, if not, let her,” the coach wrote, adding that you can again invite the woman to use the toy together. “Maybe she, like many others, will like it. But don’t push here either, the main thing is open communication without intimidation and suppression,” he concluded.
Previously Yuzwiak gave advice a woman who has separated from her partner but continues to have sex with him. He said that the couple should either break up for good or think about reuniting.
