General Secretary UN António Guterres held on Wednesday, December 14, a telephone conversation with the President Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the official representative of the Secretary General Stefan Dujarric, one of the main issues was the prospects for the implementation of the Black Sea grain deal.
“They discussed a wide range of issues, including the future of the Black Sea Grain Initiative,” Dujarric said, commenting on the conversation between Guterres and Zelenskiy.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that the official representative of the German Cabinet, Steffen Hebestreit, following a telephone conversation between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Russian President Vladimir Putin, announced that politicians were discussing grain deals.
According to Hebeshtreit, the interlocutors noted the importance of the grain deal against the backdrop of a “particularly tense” food situation in the world.
