Laureates and winners of the Russian national award “Student of the Year” were awarded at the Youth House in Moscow. 33 students in each nomination received award figurines and the title of winner of the All-Russian project. Five students were awarded the Grand Prix.

1 thousand students from 70 regions of Russia took part in the final of the award. The largest delegations were presented by Moscow, Tatarstan, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Lipetsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, Bashkortostan, Saratov, Tyumen and Ulyanovsk regions. This year the awards were presented in 33 categories. Among higher educational institutions, 13 nominations were allocated, among professional educational organizations – 11 nominations. The Russian National Prize also included special open tracks: “Student of the Year. Doctors”, “Student of the year. Teachers”, “Student of the year. Architects” (9 nominations).

Grand Prix in the special open track “Student of the Year. Architects” was awarded to Anastasia Kuzyakina (Astrakhan Region) in the special open track “Student of the Year. Teachers” the highest award was awarded to Daria Wiebe from the Sverdlovsk region, in the track “Student of the Year. Doctors” – Ignatius Ulyanov from the Voronezh region. The OOBO Grand Prix was awarded to Alan Tuaev (Republic of North Ossetia-Alania), the POO Grand Prix was awarded to Nikita Kudishin from the Novosibirsk Region.

As reported the online edition “Teacher’s Newspaper”, “Student of the Year” is a unique competitive and educational project for students of Russian universities and colleges who have achievements in studies, science, sports, creativity and social life. The Russian Youth Union established the award in 2014. Its main goal is to support learning educational organizations with special achievements in the field of science, creativity, sports, journalism, youth policy, student leadership, community activities and volunteering.
