Cabinet of Ministers Germany announced in a diplomatic note that he did not plan to negotiate with Warsaw about reparations for the damage of the Second World War. This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

“On December 28, 2022, the German Foreign Ministry responded to the note of the Polish Foreign Ministry dated October 3, 2022. The note was delivered to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 3, 2023. According to the German government, the issue of reparations and compensation for military losses in Poland remains closed, and the German government does not intend to negotiate on this issue,” the statement said.

The Foreign Ministry assured that the leadership of Poland will continue to take measures aimed at collecting debts that arose as a result of Germany’s actions during the Second World War.

Earlier, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Arkadiusz Mulyarchik informed about Warsaw’s appeal to the UN with a call to contribute to the issue of receiving war reparations from Germany for damage caused during World War II. More on the topic read in material Public news service.
