AT Polish The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was informed that the leadership Germany in a diplomatic note announced its refusal to enter into negotiations with Warsaw on reparations for damage caused during the Second World War.

The German Foreign Office responded to the Polish note sent last autumn. In Warsaw, the document was received on the third of January.

The statement of the Federal Republic of Germany says that the issue of reparations is closed, and the German side does not plan to negotiate on this topic.

At the same time, Poland assured that the republic would continue to take measures aimed at collecting debts formed as a result of Berlin’s actions during the Second World War.

Earlier, the head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, as part of a dialogue with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, made a statement that he was outraged that Kyiv was officially celebrating the birthday of the leader of the local Nazis, Stepan Bandera.
