General Kirillov: Attempted attacks on Zaporizhia NPP have become noticeably fewer, only drones are visible

The Ukrainian Army began to attack the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) less frequently, compared to regular shelling at the beginning of the special operation. The head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops (RKhBZ) Igor Kirillov spoke about this in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

“As for shelling, the number of attempts to disrupt the operation of the station and cause damage to its infrastructure has noticeably decreased compared to the beginning of the special military operation,” the military officer informed about the situation.

He noted that in recent months, only rare Ukrainian drones have been noticed on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, which have been successfully intercepted.

Kirillov recalled that a violation of security at this facility is fraught with a nuclear disaster that will poison the water, soil and atmosphere in many countries around the world.
