Negotiations of the Russian side with representatives of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the context of gas union continue at the proper level, said the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Yuri Sentyurin.
According to him, in the media, and especially in Western publications, there is a lot of fake and out of context information that the partners allegedly “refuse” from the gas project, but this is not so.
“Negotiations are underway right now, they have not been completed. There may be some judgments, a remark thrown “on the feet.” On this basis (media – Note. ed.) such conclusions are made that countries do not accept (draft – Note. ed.). At a minimum, the process of studying this proposal, this approach is now underway,” the diplomat explained to RIA Novosti.
He stressed that the partners are studying the Russian proposal in detail and in this context it is worth trusting only the statements of officials.
