The development of technology in the coming decades will provoke a leap in the military field. The nature of hostilities will change, people will be replaced by drones. This was stated in the material for the magazine of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation “Army Collection” by a futurologist, senior researcher, candidate of technical sciences, lieutenant colonel in the reserve Alexander Ulanov.
“Combat crews will be moved outside the zone of influence of the enemy’s operational and tactical weapons. A person will not participate in fire contact, ”he said.
According to the expert, in 30 years the military will not control weapons in combat. They will only plan fights, set tasks and control the results.
The expert believes that people will be replaced by robots, which will be controlled by trained artificial intelligences. Machines will begin to process data, analyze the situation and make the necessary decisions.
Ulanov also warned about the combination of biological and chemical weapons, which will be designed to eliminate the enemy’s population.
The futurist added that variants of infections are already being formed that infect some nationalities. He believes that the line between the peaceful and military period will be practically erased.
In addition, he believes that there will be lasers, cybernetic weapons and nanobots. Nuclear weapons may remain, but warhead carriers will be modernized and made hypersonic, Ulanov said.
In conclusion, he said that military operations would be resorted to only to seize territories, while the main battles would begin to take place in outer space and sea.
As the Public News Service wrote earlier, Yuri Knutov said that the military techniquewhich Kyiv receives from NATO, will not survive the winter period, since it will not be supplied with oil and additives.
According to him, this will have an impact on the maneuverability of Ukrainian troops and their combat effectiveness.
