From January 7 on the territory Russian Federation the minimum retail price for the sale of sparkling wines has been increased. As follows from the order of the Ministry of Finance, now sparkling wine can be bought no cheaper than 239 rubles per 0.75 liters. Thus, the minimum selling price for sparkling wines has increased by almost one and a half times.
The order of the Ministry of Finance was published on December 27, 2022, from its text it follows that it comes into force no earlier than 10 days after its publication, that is, on January 7. The specified period of validity of the order is until December 31, 2028.
Earlier, the head of the Center for the Development of National Alcohol Policy Pavel Shapkin commented on the next increase in the minimum prices for alcoholic products. According to the expert, raising the minimum selling prices for alcoholic beverages will help limit the entry of counterfeit products into the market.
