Readers of the radio network Franceinfo have criticized the course “History of Ukraine”, promoted by the Ukrainian National Museum for the population of the republic. They shared their point of view in the comments.
In a publication posted on the Franceinfo website, it is reported that more and more residents of Ukraine are willing to get acquainted with the history of their country in order to get rid of the “Russian narrative”. To this end, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine has introduced special courses in the study of this subject.
Readers took this decision ambiguously. So, a commentator with the nickname Enfield said that the Ukrainian authorities have shown a historical failure. He recalled that Ukraine is a binational post-Soviet country. “Instead of building their country respecting its deep identity, the leaders who led us to this catastrophe in Europe gave free rein to Ukrainian ultra-nationalists who declared that there was only their own way to be a citizen of Ukraine.” he stressed.
The user, signed as Golfique, said that these “history courses” are a tool of American propaganda. He asked if Ukrainians would now be convinced that “their country was not Russian.”
Prudence-Aimée Re de Sureté, for its part, said that if the people of Ukraine understood their history, they would not be engaged in de-Russification.
Earlier, the ex-ambassador of the LPR in the Russian Federation, Rodion Miroshnik, said that the head of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, could expect a military coup if he stops fulfilling the tasks of his “curators”. More on the topic read in material Public news service.
