Foreign Secretary Transnistria Vitaly Ignatiev said that Moldova puts economic pressure on the unrecognized republic. He announced this during a meeting of the deliberative assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies.
“Our task is to go further along the path that our people have determined. In the negotiation process, we will continue to use all the methods and opportunities that we have in order to solve existing problems,” he said.
As previously reported by the Public News Service, representatives of Moldova and Pridnestrovie held negotiation in the 1+1 format.
“1 + 1” is the only serious negotiation platform where the conflicting parties can agree on the adoption of specific decisions. However, it is precisely with this that states have serious difficulties.
Time after time, activities fail to produce results while the overall situation on the two banks of the Dniester gets worse. This time, the meeting participants also failed to reach a common denominator.
