Sunday January 1, 2023 could be record warm in Moscow. This was stated by the leading specialist of the meteorological center “Phobos” Yevgeny Tishkovets in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, today cloudy and rainy weather is expected in the capital region with an air temperature of plus 4-6 degrees.

The specialist noted that such a temperature could beat the record 50 years ago, when in 1973 Moscow recorded 4.2 degrees Celsius on January 1.

Earlier, the head of the Meteo prognostic center, Alexander Shuvalov, told what weather is expected in the capital during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
