According to the statistics center RTVE, in Spain food prices rose 15.3% year-on-year. In the same time inflation decreased throughout the country. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The biggest increase in prices is noted for sugar (more than 50%), butter (more than 31%), milk (30.9%). In addition, more than 20% more expensive eggs, cereals, dairy products and potatoes.
The annual inflation rate in Spain fell to 6.8% as of November. This is the lowest figure since January. The main reason for the jump in prices in the country is the increase in electricity tariffs by almost 50%.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that, according to the report of the insurance company Línea Directa Aseguradora “Spanish households in the face of inflation in 2022”, more than half of the people of Spain faced financial difficulties.
