There is a good tradition in Spassk – to hold a festival of flowers on the eve of the city day. He is loved by many generations of citizens, and every year he gathers a lot of flower growers. On July 29, the participants presented fifty compositions of flowers, vegetables and fruits to the audience and the jury.
All the contestants approached the composition of the bouquets with imagination and came up with original names for them: “Hedgehog Fyr-fyr-fyr”, “Happy broom”, “Forest nymph”, “Flower mink”, “Mushrooms with eyes in Ryazan”. The composition with one of the symbols of our region was presented by the Yegorshin family from Spassk.
“We have a clearing of three mushrooms. The legs were made from the centers of daisies that had already faded, and the hats were made from marigolds. So it turned out aspen mushrooms, because they are also most often bright red. Each element was attached to a toothpick, and then to a sponge base. The basket was decorated with greenery that looks like spruce branches.”
Guests of the holiday voted for the bouquet they liked. While the jury was summing up the results, a brass band and amateur artists performed for the audience. The winners and prize-winners of the holiday were awarded prizes from the city administration.
The best this year were Artem Makarenko (“Harvest Over the Edge”), Ivan Zaitsev (“Flower Beauty”), Vika Nasonova (“Happy Sunny July”), Dmitry Yegorshin (“Mushrooms with Eyes in Ryazan”), Mikhail and Polina Malantseva (“Hedgehog Fyr-fyr-fyr”) and Veronika Kiseleva (“Summer Garden”).
