Expert Valery Fetisov, as part of a conversation with journalists, told which destinations for domestic recreation in Russia will become the best in 2023. He also expressed confidence that the Ukrainian crisis had a positive impact on the development of domestic tourism.

So, the specialist stressed that during the past year, the Russians were forced to travel exclusively within the territory of their native country. Russian citizens were faced with such circumstances by the sanctions imposed on the state, which followed the start of the special operation in Ukraine.

Fetisov believes that this trend will not only continue in the new year, but will also develop more actively. The expert said that such routes as the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea and the Caucasus will remain leaders in the popularity rating of Russian tourists.

Also, the increasing interest of Russians is growing in other areas. We are talking about trips to Altai, Baikal, Kamchatka and Karelia. However, the main disadvantage of such a holiday is that getting to these places will be a little more expensive.

However, the expert noted that the resorts of the Mediterranean, too, some time ago were not so accessible to travelers with a low budget.

Formerly Public News Service informedthat the flow of Russian tourists to European countries has decreased by 90% in 2022. One of the reasons for this decrease in the number of travelers is due to the problems that have arisen this year with flights.
