Excursions to the largest Russian infectious diseases hospital have been announced in Moscow

Muscovites occupied almost all the pre-registration slots for excursions to the new flagship center and the Moscow Urological Center of the legendary Botkin Hospital in less than 24 hours. Due to high demand, excursions will continue, in particular, everyone is planned to be invited to IKB No. 1 after its opening until the end of 2023. This was announced by the Vice-Mayor for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.

“We are glad that this project has attracted a lot of attention and that Muscovites are showing such interest in the capital’s medicine,” said the vice mayor. “We clearly see the demand for this format and plan to continue it further. By the end of the year, the largest infectious diseases hospital will open in Russia “IKB No. 1, where we are also going to invite Muscovites to open excursions.”

Rakova recalled that the first excursions were held at the flagship center of the Filatov Hospital in September. November 16 authorities announced expansion of the project to the Botkin Hospital. There, Muscovites will be able to visit not only the flagship, but also the urological center, which will open to patients in the near future. The excursions will take place from November 23 to 29, they will be conducted by health workers and employees of the My Documents public service centers.

Excursions to the Filatov hospital on September 2 and 3 were visited by over 11 thousand people, and on September 5 the flagship center began accepting patients. The Social Complex notes that since September it has reached full capacity and began to receive about 200 emergency patients per day.

The construction of flagship centers at city hospitals in the Social Complex is called a key element of the program to improve the efficiency and quality of medical care for emergency patients. In January 2023, a flagship center opened at the City Clinical Hospital named after V.V. Veresaev, in March – at the Research Institute of Emergency Medicine named after N.V. Sklifosovsky, in September – in the Filatov hospital. As of November 2023, the creation of two more flagship centers is underway – in the City Clinical Hospital named after V.M. Buyanov and City Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after N.I. Pirogov.
