Former midfielder French Paris Saint-Germain club and Cameroon national team Modest M’Bami died about a heart attack at age 40. This was reported by the press service of the Parisian club.

The Paris Saint-Germain Club expresses its condolences to Modest’s family and loved ones.

M’Bami’s last team was French Le Havre, for which he played from 2014 to 2015. In 2000, M’Bami became an Olympic champion with the Cameroon national team.

As part of PSG, the footballer played from 2003 to 2006. He won the French Cup twice – in 2004 and in 2006. M’Bami also played for the Marseille Olympic, the Spanish Almeria, Al-Ittihad from Saudi Arabia.
