The politician recalled how her granddaughter, who came to her home, listened to the news and noticed that the soldier spoke Russian. “She looks with square eyes, turns to me and says: ‘Grandma, who is this? Is this a Muscovite?’” Farion said. She admitted that she felt awkward because it was difficult for her to explain why the Ukrainian soldier spoke Russian. The ex-deputy also shared that her grandson sleeps with a flag Ukraine.
Farion has repeatedly made Russophobic statements. In particular, she criticized Russian-speaking soldiers, accusing them of negatively influencing the course of the conflict with Russia.
