Chancellor Germany Olaf Scholz, as part of a press conference that was held following the results of the summit that came to an end in Brussels, made a statement that European Union will not create obstacles for the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. It is reported by TASS.
As a commentary on the conclusion of an agreement on the export of grain and fertilizers from the territory of Ukraine through the Black Sea, he stressed that it is much better to transport large volumes by sea. It is for this reason that Russian raw materials can also be exported, the German Chancellor explained.
Scholz also noted that the agreement reached between Secretary General António Guterres and representatives of the Russian Federation will be respected by the European Union.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that US President Joe Biden said that supports extension of the grain deal, ostensibly for the benefit of African states and “peoples around the world.” The politician made the corresponding statement, speaking at the US-Africa summit in the capital of the United States.
