On Friday, December 16, the Council of the European Union agreed on the ninth sanctions package against the Russian Federation. This time, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana fell under the restrictions Golikova and daughter of the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov Aishat and Karina. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The EU sanctions list was also supplemented by the heads of a number of ministries and departments of Russia. Among them were the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, the Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, the Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov, the Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov and the Ministry of Education Valery Falkov.

In addition, the list includes the director of the National Guard, Viktor Zolotov, as well as cultural figures, including director Nikita Mikhalkov and singer Grigory Leps.

Earlier, the Public News Service reported that on Friday, December 16, the Council of the European Union officially announced the approval of the ninth package sanctions against Russia.

The document says that the package of new measures is aimed “to increase pressure on Russia and its government.”
