Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke about the results of the grain corridor in 2022. The Turkish leader wrote about this on Sunday, January 1, on his Twitter page.

“Thanks to the corridor that we opened, more than 16 million tons of grain and grain products left the ports of Ukraine and reached the whole world,” Erdogan summed up.

The terms of the grain deal were approved, and the corresponding document was signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN on July 22. The deal involves the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizer across the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa.

The document is an integral part of a package agreement that provides for, among other things, the unblocking of Russian exports of food and fertilizers. Moscow has repeatedly drawn attention to the fact that this part of the deal is not being implemented.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko said earlier that the grain deal is being implemented in unilaterally and in the interests of the European Union. She noted that Russian diplomats continue, together with their UN colleagues, to defend Russia’s interests so that the deal is a “package deal”.
