Presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation, during which they discussed the situation in Ukraine.

The Turkish leader said that the conflict should end with peace talks.

Erdogan added that their willingness on the part of Russia should be indicated by “a unilateral cessation of hostilities and a fair settlement of differences.”

Earlier, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee, Lieutenant-General Andrei Gurulev, warned of the danger of a Christmas truce. More read in material Public news service.
