According to bourgas.ru, today the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria are protesting, and they are protesting, because. in their opinion, receive small wages.

“The lack of a clear position related to the specific amount of the increase in the base salaries of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, against the backdrop of accelerated inflation and increased obligations caused by the geopolitical crisis, forces us to accept national protests in defense of our applications submitted on 20.02.2022.” This is stated in a press release from the Boards of the Federation of Trade Unions of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (SFSMVR) and the Union of Prison Officers of Bulgaria (SSZB) – the two largest trade unions in Bulgaria in the field of security.

According to them, there is no dialogue with the government yet.

“In the letters we sent them, we asked for a meeting at a time and place they had specified. The reason for requesting such meetings was to find out what has been achieved so far in Annex 10 to the Agreement. A right that not only we – representatives of trade unions, but all citizens of Bulgaria have,” the message says.

The expectation of the SFIS and SSIS from such a meeting was to present the activities of the deputies – members of the political formations that make up the Committee on Internal Security and Public Order in the National Assembly.

“For us, it is inexplicable that there was no response to the topic thus set, given the obligations and deadlines set by the representatives of the political parties themselves when discussing the Agreement under consideration. There are no real actions in support of the declared intention, the implementation of the measures provided for by the Agreement should be transparent and in direct cooperation with representatives of workers and trade unions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, as well as with civil society structures, ”the report says.
