Doctors asked Putin to release Skochilenko

Doctors wrote an open letter to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with a request to release a convicted St. Petersburg artist from the colony Alexandru Skochilenko. About it writes “Kommersant”.

247 doctors signed the document. They claim that the woman has a number of serious chronic diseases – heart disease, mental disorder, and gluten intolerance. The artist’s stay in a colony could lead to a deterioration in her health, doctors believe.

Doctors also considered Skochilenko’s sentence “particularly unfair” against the backdrop of the release of prisoners who had committed serious crimes from prison.

Skochilenko arrested in April 2022. According to investigators, on March 31, while she was in Perekrestok storereplaced the existing price tags with signs with inscriptions containing deliberately false information about the Armed Forces Russia. November 16 Vasileostrovsky District Court St. Petersburg sentenced artist to seven years in prison.
