One of the users with the nickname Solomon I noted that all this looks like the end for the European Union. He explained that what happened is literally unprecedented: the association changes the rules of its own accord, highlighting Kyiv an additional 18 billion and despite Hungary’s veto.
“Thus, the EU changes the existing legislation of the union at its own discretion, if it suits it,” commentator Ariodante came to the same conclusion.
Another reader noted that the EU is not fighting for Ukraine, but literally against Russia. He noted that Hungary acted prudently in this situation.
“Ukraine is not in the EU and not in NATO, were there other countries where we gave 18 billion?” another user expressed general indignation.
As previously reported by the Public News Service, the Council of the European Union agreed on a package of documents, according to which Ukraine will be provided with another credit eighteen billion euros. This became known from the statement of the Council.
