Units of PMC “Wagner” completed the cleansing of the village of Yakovlevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. This was reported by a war correspondent Alexander Simonov.

“I have just been informed that the assault detachments of the Wagner PMC have completed the cleansing of Yakovlevka and its environs. Now second-echelon units are entering the settlement,” the military commander wrote.
Simonov noted that the main enemy forces were driven out of the settlement on December 7, but later separate pockets of resistance were discovered on the territory of the settlement. Having liberated Yakovlevka, the PMC fighters opened their way to Soledar. Meanwhile, fierce fighting on this sector of the front continues.
At the moment, the “Wagnerites” are attacking the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction. Intense clashes are taking place both within the city limits and in the settlements surrounding Bakhmut, which is the most important logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
