The Derbent Museum-Reserve is carrying out large-scale work to update its expositions and improve the surrounding areas.

According to the press service of the museum, a new exposition will open this year in the “Khan Office” of the architectural complex of the Naryn-Kala citadel, including archaeological excavations discovered on the territory of the citadel from 1972 to the present.

In addition, expositions are being reconstructed in the building of the Museum “Nature of the Caspian Sea”, providing for the creation of a new media platform for the study of the flora and fauna of the Caspian territory of Dagestan.

A major overhaul will also be carried out at the Battle Glory Museum, where it is planned to create a modern multifunctional exhibition space.

As part of the development of the Tourist Mile route, the construction of a pedestrian zone along the fortress wall of the Naryn-Kala Citadel has begun.

For the convenience of pedestrians and motorists, work is underway to expand the parking lot on the territory of the Naryn-Kala citadel, as well as equipping a staircase to the Sosnovy Bor park with modern lighting and installing functional underground garbage bins.
