Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Vyacheslav Datsik answered a question about continuing his career. His words lead NEWS.ru.
Datsik said that he used to have a dream of fighting and dying in the ring. “I don’t want to retire yet. Young people are always trying to send us there, but we are still struggling,” he added.
August 19 Datsik won Briton Oli Thompson in the first round of a fight according to boxing rules. The heavyweight bout topped the REN TV Fight Club tournament in Moscow. Promoter Vladimir Khryunov reported that Datsik’s next opponent could be a Russian MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko.
In MMA, 43-year-old Datsik won seven fights and lost eight. In boxing, he won eight victories (five of which by knockout) and suffered three defeats.
