The Croatian Parliament did not support the government’s initiative to provide Ukrainian military opportunity to study in the country. This is reported by the HRT channel.
The idea of the cabinet of ministers was supported by 97 deputies. This is four less than what is needed to pass the initiative – two-thirds of the members of parliament.
The Croatian Sabor committee spoke in favor of the government’s proposal at the end of November. Before the meeting, the chairman of the defense committee, Franko Vidović, left the hall. He called the discussion a violation of the constitution.
Croatian President Zoran Milanovic opposed the initiative. According to him, these are risks for the host side of the training events.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict, including by supplying weapons and training personnel. Training events are held in the States, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and other countries.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that at the moment the amount of money provided to Ukraine by the Netherlands military aid reached 987 million euros.
