Then the first deputy chairman of the government of the Ryazan region addressed the participants of the meeting Anna Roslyakova:

“Dear veterans, dear prisoners of concentration camps, dear children who survived the horrors of war! First of all, I want to thank Lyudmila Nikolaevna and everyone who helped her keep the memory of the events experienced by very young residents of our country. Unfortunately, children in the Donbass and Ukraine are experiencing the same today. Probably, it is symbolic that on June 21, on the eve of the Day of Remembrance, the Day of the beginning of the war, we open this monument. It is very important that we not only remember our history, but also take it into account in our present. Today, our paratroopers, our National Guard are fighting in Ukraine so that our children will never hear the sound of the bombing.”

The chairman of the Ryazan City Duma Tatyana Panfilova, the head of the administration of Ryazan Elena Sorokina also addressed the participants of the rally with words of gratitude. Schoolchildren from Donbass Matvey Kalmyk and Daria Opanasenko thanked the people of Ryazan for their hospitality.
