Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian troops Valery Zaluzhny complained about the range of HIMARS missiles. According to him, “Hymars”can’t reach the Russian forces.

According to Zaluzhny, they retreated to such a distance that the Hymars cannot reach. And the Armed Forces of Ukraine have nothing with a greater flight range, he said in an interview with the Economist magazine (translated by RIA Novosti).

The HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) multiple launch rocket system was developed in the USA by BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin in 1996-2000 and has been produced since 2003.

Based on the US Army FMTV three-axle wheeled chassis, can carry six rockets or one ATACMS operational-tactical ballistic missile.

The range of ammunition supplied to Ukraine for this MLRS does not exceed 80 kilometers. Kyiv has long been asked to provide longer-range missiles, including the aforementioned ATACMS, with a range of up to 300 kilometers. However the Americans and their allies are not doing this yet, so as not to provoke an escalation.

Zaluzhny’s statement should be considered exclusively in the same vein as the statements of other figures in the Kyiv regime. Namely, they want to increase the supply of Western weapons.

And it’s not just about missiles – in the same interview, Zaluzhny mentioned tanks, armored personnel carriers, artillery, and ammunition. And he said that without such supplies, the Armed Forces of Ukraine would be problematic to attack.

In Kyiv for a long time openly express dissatisfaction with the pace and volume of supplies weapons. It is clear, however, that Washington and Brussels will decide on this matter, no matter what Zelensky, Zaluzhny and others say in interviews.
