CNN: 826 foreign citizens evacuated from Gaza in 24 hours

Last Sunday, more than 800 foreign citizens were able to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint on the border with Egypt, CNN reports citing the Egyptian border service.

“At least 826 foreign citizens were evacuated from Gaza through the Rafah crossing on Sunday,” the department said.

It is noted that this number of evacuated representatives of foreign countries was the largest since the start of hostilities in the enclave.

Also on November 12 of this year, nine wounded Palestinians were able to leave the Gaza Strip across the border with Egypt.

The Rafah checkpoint is the only border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Advisor to the Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Daniil Martynov, said that all Russian citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip arrived at the ministry’s operational headquarters in Cairo safely.
