The first program will invest BGN 90 million in the personal development of students through team sports and the arts.
At the expense of 10 million leva, under another new program, the salaries of at least 900 mediators and social workers, both already appointed and new ones, will be ensured.
In total, this year, 242.6 million leva will be invested in preschool and school education within the framework of national programs. Some of the already known ones have been supplemented with new modules.
The program “Innovations in action” was supplemented. It will develop methodology and learning resources for STEM education. They will be implemented in already established STEM centers in 263 schools across the country and in another 1980 schools where STEM centers will be built in accordance with the National Reconstruction and Sustainability Plan.
Another program will support face-to-face teaching and experimental work in science at specialized schools. Another year there will be investments in lessons held in cultural institutions. The library environment will be improved and sites for road safety education will be built. Conditions will be created for the access of people with disabilities and special educational needs, security in schools will be improved through video surveillance and other technical means.
Support will continue for mobile groups to include children and schoolchildren of compulsory preschool and school age in the education system.
It is planned to develop a manual in Bulgarian as a foreign language for migrant children and foreigners seeking or receiving protection.
The program for the modernization of vocational education is maintained.
For the second year in a row, the Together Again program will provide funding for student travel in grades 1-11 to overcome the negative effects of absenteeism and the COVID-19 pandemic. 22.6 million levs were allocated for these purposes.
Through the National Motivated Teachers and Qualifications Programme, teachers will be able to improve and complete their knowledge and skills, and non-educational professionals will be able to acquire teaching qualifications. Once again, the possibility of prevention and rehabilitation of specialist teachers is guaranteed.
As part of the program to support the personal development of children and students, modern classrooms will be built in the personal development support centers, where classes in the field of science, technology, art and sports are held. Therapy and rehabilitation rooms will be equipped in centers for working with children with special needs.
The national programs “Business Teaches”, “Teaching IT Skills and Career”, “Native Language and Culture Abroad”, “Optimization of the Internal Structure of Personnel”, as well as programs of national external assessment and student competitions and competitions are preserved.
The MES will continue to fund municipal projects to desegregate education, as well as to hire substitute teachers.
