Britain’s plan to buy missiles from Germany revealed

Great Britain suggested Germany sell it Taurus cruise missiles to supply more Storm Shadow missiles to the Armed Forces Ukraine (APU). About the plan London reports Handelsblatt edition.

The material notes that Britain offered Germany a “way out of the deadlock discussion” regarding supplies Kyiv long-range precision weapons. “This would give the government in London freedom of action to supply Ukraine with additional cruise missiles of a different model – Storm Shadow,” the author of the article emphasized.

According to the publication, Britain revealed its plan to Germany several weeks ago. It is currently under consideration Berlin.

Previously Bundestag voted against the transfer of Taurus to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). A resolution with such a demand was sent to the German government by the opposition bloc CDU/CSU, which is part of the EPP in European Parliament. The document was rejected by the votes of 485 parliamentarians.
