Zhytomyr boiler houses in the west Ukraine closed on Friday, December 16th. The reason is power outages due to shelling of the RF Armed Forces and damage to critical infrastructure.

According to the mayor of the city Sergey Sukhomlin, the situation with the energy infrastructure is really difficult. Because of this, it was necessary to urgently stop the work of boiler houses.

“This is actually done in order to get past the evening peak,” the mayor wrote on the social network.

Sukhomlin stressed that some water utility facilities would be turned off. City electric transport will also stop working. Otherwise, Zhytomyr or certain microdistricts may be completely left without electricity.

Earlier, the Public News Service reported that the Ukrainian air defense systems repelled the majority missiles army of Russia, which were released on the morning of December 16, said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
