President of the U.S.A Joe Biden said on Monday he was unlikely to visit Ukraine when he travels to Europe later this month for summit meetings with Washington’s allies. This is reported Reuters.

Speaking to reporters, Biden also said he thought it very likely that Ukraine would become a member of the European Union.

Later this week, EU leaders are expected to bless Ukraine to become an official candidate for membership, a decision that will be celebrated as a triumph for Kyiv battling a Russian invasion.

Biden and Ukraine

Biden has not been to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. However, we received visits US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austinas well as the first lady of the United States Jill Biden.

Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden plans to travel to Europe at the end of June to attend the G7 leaders’ summit and the NATO summit.

The G7 summit will take place at Elmau Castle in southern Germany. Later, Biden will travel to Madrid for a meeting of NATO leaders.
